METEORA: historical monasteries in rocks of the Pindus and of Hasia out from kalambaka Meteora is another World Heritage site by UNESCO. A unique cluster of sandstone rocks at an altitude of 313 metres. Leaving the Meteors heading to Athens we arrive in Volos and Pelion: Volos belongs in Thessaly and is built at the foothills of Mount Pelion. It has one of the most important ports in Greece and the history of the city is rumored by the Neolithic period and the bronze age. There are significant mentions in the early Christian and Byzantine times while in antiquity according to mythology, mount Pelion was the summer residence of the gods and of the Centaurs. With countless trails to the spin and preservable traditional buildings of unique architecture of Pelion and Volos an ideal destination for lovers of nature and tradition. Leaving from Pelion and Volos will travel in one of the most famous mountain and short passages of Greece in the Prefecture of fthiotida, the Thermopylae: its name was given by the hot springs water.
